I have been a teacher off and on for ten years. I quit last summer, 08. I wrote up my ideas in thailand during autumn and winter 08, and now I am being of service. I am now playing with adults, attempting to map the amazing experiences I have learned from kids onto the real adult world. Hence, the games I have come up with tend to be below the current social entrepreneur ladder.

Games need to have the quality of realness. With adults, that means real trust and money too. If we manifest social benefit, then money will flow as a consequence. The operational principle of confluence consultancy, imho, is to offer our services free. If it is proven to be useful, then we would appreciate recommendation and perhaps some money so we can further offer services for free in other areas. The entire cycle is positive. My ideal, like all of our ideals, is virtuous. The trick is for us to honour our intentions in order to bring out the best of us, and hence realise our ideals. To do so, we need to engage present conditions accurately and god only knows, the present state of the world requires our immediate attention.

I am homeless, in the sense that I do not own a house, and I do not even rent a place regularly. I am being rather extreme in my manner in order to be as free as possible to offer my services to whoever wishes. Because I have not dealt with adults in the financial world apart from buying things in shops (which is not often), I am able to introduce buddhist influences as I work out a methodology suitable to the context I engage with. This is at all levels, from belief system, theory of communication, engagement in real life with an individual, social dynamics, group formation, and hence institutional interlocking.

My source metaphor has shifted from a solid one to a liquid one. That is, I am careful to avoid foundations, building blocks, and even to the point of the use of nominalisations. I use words contextually dependent on how they produce a tag-cloud for a concept constellation within a single person's head. (That last sentence is an example of what I mean, but it is much better when I engage another person because the formulation of language is genuinely unique to us and our concurrent conditions in realtime.) The confluence consultancy began with a weaving together of various ideas sourced in David, Mamading, Tav, Sofia, Chris, and everyone who influenced these individuals.

The notion of the Confluence Consultancy began early in January 2009, and a particular concentrated confluence was invited between Mamading and David and this formalised as action on Friday 30 January.

This blog records the experiences conducted by the confluence consultancy. The next posts are intros by Mamading, David and other participants as they experience the benefits of confluence. The first real post is a record of the first experience in the real world and this constitutes the main body of the blog. Some meta chat items might interperse the reading. What is important is what is happening out there, in the real world, sourced and embodied by us.
